OUR STORY.

Ours started with an 18 year old, a truck, and a dream. Immediately after graduating high school, Kip climbed into his first truck, hauling potatoes across Idaho’s back roads. He was young, determined, and unafraid of long days behind the wheel. As the years passed, he hauled fuel, fertilizer, and anything else he could to provide for his growing family. 

But in 1989, everything changed. Kip decided to take a risk — the kind of risk only someone with grit and faith can take. With a Volvo truck, a hopper trailer, and a tanker, he stepped out on his own. It wasn’t glamorous. It wasn’t easy. But it was his.

The 1990s were tough. There were times when keeping the business alive felt like a full-time fight. 

Kip worked long days on the road. Jodie worked a full-time job, while raising their children, stretching every dollar and doing everything she could to support both their family and the business. 

There were moments of doubt, moments of stress, but never moments of quitting. Together, they kept going, because that’s what families do.

Eagle Transportation Idaho didn’t grow because of luck or shortcuts. 
It grew because Kip and Jodie believed in: 
• Honest work 
• Treating people right 
• Doing what you say you’ll do 
• Helping others succeed, too 

When they added trucks, they didn’t just add drivers — they helped many become owner-operators. They wanted others to share in the kind of success they had worked so hard to build.

Their goal was to build a good life — for their family, and for the families who worked with them.

 You’ll still find Kip in the shop, dispatching trucks and tools in hand, helping keep the equipment running. 

You’ll still find Jodie managing the financial heart of the business, keeping everything steady and organized. 

And it wouldn’t exist without the people who have stood beside them, the drivers, the owner-operators, and the employees who show up every day and give their best. This company is a reflection of them, of their loyalty, their dedication, and their belief in what we do.
